Here are pictures of the yarn shop in Santa Barbara and the sock and suri merino yarns. The sock is the basket stitch sock from More Sensational Socks. I borrowed it from the library but it's a great resource for sock knitting so I just might buy it.

I started knitting the sock with the Magic loop but it really annoyed me when I got to the gusset so I switched to two circulars. It turns out I knit WAY tighter on two circs. Now it appears the foot is too small. I really don't want to rip back to the heel but I just might have to if I ever want to wear these.
